Synopsis
After a shipwreck, an intelligent robot named Rose is stranded on an uninhabited island
In order to survive the hostile environment, Roz bonds with the island’s animals and cares for an orphaned baby goose. Lupita Nyong’o joins writer-director Chris Sanders to talk about the major credits and time they spent making Wild Robot. According to author Peter Brown, the inspiration for Wild Robot came from a sketch he made of a robot in a tree. He then asked the question, “What would an intelligent robot do in the wild?” When the fox enters the cabin, a moose growls at the door, but the sound effect used is a bear recording.

Wild Robot will make you laugh, cry and sigh!
The key lime pie in this animated masterpiece is a beautiful, engaging story that explores so many controversial issues, including: finding your heart or living with a disability without being lectured to. During the first act, I laughed so hard at the wonderful and natural comedic moments from the book of the same name written by Peter Brown. By the second act, I was amazed at where this story arc took the audience, and by the third act, I had salt water in my eyes. The celebrity voice cast includes Lupita Nyong’o, Catherine O’Hara (“Beetle Juice” She’s So Hot Now), Bill Nighy, Matt Berry (“Toast of London”), Ving Rhames, Mark Hamill, Pedro Pascal and many more in incredible performances working to bring this scenario to life is supported by the lush atmosphere of the island and the wonderful creatures that inhabit it.
Director Chris Sanders’ obsession with animation from Lilo and Stitch; The Croods paid dividends in Wild Robot
