First, it would be very confusing
We meet a few characters and learn that they have some drama going on behind the scenes. Then we are introduced to an interesting plot device that will drive the rest of the film. At this point, I thought I was in for something really special. What I didn’t realize was that there were a few issues that would derail the movie.
The other issues are with the characters
I don’t want to go into detail because that would ruin the premise of the movie. But anyone who watches this movie will quickly know what I’m talking about in terms of confusion. I will say that while the middle of the movie is very confusing, it clears up and becomes a bit more coherent towards the end. You still have to have your wits about you at all times, that’s for sure.
All the negatives aside, there are some really good things here
There are a lot of them and they are very toxic people who are hard to care about and get on their good side. I really feel like the movie could have easily cut 2-3 of the characters and nothing would have been lost. And as for making them toxic, I understand that it makes for a juicier drama, but sacrificing likability is a big deal. If you can stick with the story and follow all the story/character arcs, you’ll probably have a great time because it has some cool tricks up its sleeve towards the end in that regard.
